Overwhelming Support For Veterans In Salt Lake City, Utah
What a day in Salt Lake City, Utah!
Not only did local real estate agents receive continuing education at the American Warrior Real Estate Professional boot camp, these amazing Utah patriots, along with the American Warrior Initiative funded FIVE service dogs with Labs for Liberty, a local service dog non-profit.
The event initial ended with a grant to Labs for Liberty of $4,000 but quickly grew. Additional funds from realtors in the room purchasing Red Friday T-Shirt went toward the non-profit along with extra donations which grew the grant to $6,700 – then to $8,400 – then to $12,000 – and then to $15,000! The generous folks of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation just kept giving and giving and giving. We send so many thanks to the branch managers who hosted this event and made this all possible! This community has our heroes on their hearts and it shows.
This incredible organization, Labs for Liberty, is 100% volunteer and is able to train dogs for a much lower cost than other non-profits – along with providing a retreat for combat veterans and their families as they train with their dog!
The owner of Labs for Liberty, Joan Nold, is a medical doctor and says she does this “for fun and to give back.” She is also a supporter of the Boot Campaign and got HER boots on 6 years ago!
Special Thanks to those who made this event possible: JC Coleman #257, Brenda Stoney #734, Jenn Reich #733, Marty Johnson #829 and Nanette Bush
