Colorado Springs Fundraiser Raises Over $38,000 for American Warrior Initiative!

The evening was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make together, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights.

David Proctor with Guardian Service Dogs joined us, shedding light on the healing power of service dogs. Over the past 10 years, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation and AWI have funded more than 60 service dogs through David’s organization, making a life-changing difference in the lives of veterans. Hearing David speak about the incredible bond between veterans and their service dogs truly brought the mission to life.

We were also honored to hear from Jason Redman, who spoke candidly about the immense challenges our veterans face. His words served as a powerful call to action, reminding us all that we must do more to support these brave individuals as they transition back into civilian life.

In a heartfelt moment, Tynette Housley and her family attended to honor the legacy of Rodger Housley. Rodger played a key role in shaping the career of Fairway’s CEO by helping him enter the mortgage industry decades ago. It was a beautiful tribute to a man whose influence is still felt today.

One of the evening’s most inspiring moments came from Paul Lachance, an 83-year-old Spartan race competitor, veteran advocate, and friend of AWI. Paul surprised us with an incredible donation of nearly $5,000! His commitment to raising awareness for veterans through his races has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we are deeply grateful for his continued support.

The energy, generosity, and sense of community were palpable throughout the night. Thanks to everyone who attended, we’re one step closer to providing more veterans with the service dogs they so desperately need.
